Last post we discussed about the how to loss body weight after pregnancy or Delivery, in this post we will see about home made hair conditioner/ hair tonic/ hair shampoo to get healthy hair. Most of them wants long hair at the same time will like hair grow faster. Also everybody like healthy shiny thick hair. We can easily prepare beauty products in our home itself. This will be very useful also involving low cost. These home made beauty products are doesn’t have any side effects. Here i listed some of the easy recipe to prepare your own home made hair tonic and hair conditioner and natural shampoo to get a healthy hair.

Tips 1


  • Henna – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Coffee powder – 1 tsp
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Mix henna, water, lemon juice and coffee powder. Apply and leave for half an hour for conditioning, and dyeing the hair. Rinse with water.

Tips 2


  • Henna – 3 tsp
  • Strong coffee – 2 tsp
  • Egg yolk – 1
  • Parsley leaves paste – 2 tsp
  •  Grounded cloves – 1 tsp
  • Castor oil – ½ tsp

Mix above all ingredients together. Use this as a hair conditioner.This will help to nourish your dry hair.

  • Shikakai seed
  • Reetha
  • Amla

Soak shikakai seeds, reetha and dried amla overnight in the proportion of 2:2:1. In the morning, boil for 15 minutes. Remove the seeds, and blend the pulp in a mixture. Refrigerate and used when needed.

  • Celery leaves
  • Lemon juice

Boil 3 handful celery leaves. Remove the leaves and add the juice of lemon to it. This will act as an excellent hair conditioner.

  • Basil leaves
  • Hibiscus leaves & flowers

Grind together basil leaves, hibiscus leaves and flowers to a fine paste. Use this as a shampoo and conditioner.

  • Green gram
  • Fenugreek
  • Hibiscus leaves

Grind equal quantities of whole green gram and fenugreek seeds with hibiscus leaves. Make a paste with gram flour and the leftover after cooking rice. Wash hair with this effective home- made shampoo.

  • Honey
  • Cream

For conditioning the hair mix honey with any cream and apply on the wet ends of the hair (not to the roots). Leave on for 5 minutes and wash off for a very smooth feel.

  • Gooseberry powder
  • Butter milk

Mix a gooseberry paste with sour butter milk. This is an effective home made shampoo cum conditioner. This will help to nourish your dry hair.

  • Gram flour
  • Curd

A mixture of gram flour and curd makes a good shampoo and conditioner for thick long hair.

  • Hibiscus leaves
  • Shikakai powder – 1 tsp

A handful of hibiscus leaves grounded to a paste with a tsp of shikakai is a wonderful shampoo and conditioner.

  • Castor oil
  • Jasmine oil

Mix the castor oil with jasmine oil. Apply this oil as hair conditioner and make your hair silky.

  • Hot water
  • Cold water

The use of hot and cold water alternating quickly acts as a great tonic for both hair and scalp.

Some more tips

  • Add water to tea leaves and boil. Cool and strain. Use the water as a last rinse to make hair shiny and silky.
  • A few drops of lemon juice added to the bath water will give a shine to your hair.
  • After shampooing, give your hair a final rinse with water in which walnut shells have been boiled.
  • Use vinegar rinse to soften hair. It acts as a good conditioner.
  • Make an egg shampoo using 1egg and the juice of 1 lemon.
  • Crushed spinach leaves make an excellent hair conditioner.
